The ICCBA joins the rest of the World to celebrate the International Human Rights Day. The celebration of the International Human Rights Day is an occasion for the world to reaffirm the commitment of all peoples to the protection and promotion of International Human Rights. It is an occasion to recognise International Human Rights as the centre-piece of our individual and collective existence.
It is indeed an occasion to acknowledge and strenuously enforce the founding commitment and deference of the Rome Statute for its interpretation to be consistent with “internationally recognized human rights without any adverse distinction founded on grounds such as gender as defined in article 7, paragraph 3, age, race, colour, language, religion or belief, political or other opinion, national, ethnic or social origin, wealth, birth or other status”.
