On 16 June 2021, Mr. Peter Haynes QC, President of the ICCBA, attended the swearing in ceremony of the new ICC Prosecutor, Mr. Karim Khan QC, who officially commenced his position for a term of nine years. The ceremony was presided over by the President of the ICC, Judge Piotr Hofmański, and was attended by the Vice Presidents of the ICC, the Registrar, the former Prosecutor and the Vice President of the Assembly of States Parties.
The ICCBA congratulates Mr. Khan and looks forward to working with him and maintaining a positive working relationship with the Office of the Prosecutor.
