The ICCBA conducted an advocacy training course between 15 and 17 May 2019 at the ICC. The three days covered opening and closing statements, direct examination and cross examination. The 18 participants had the opportunity to practice their skills in Courtroom 1 of the ICC and had lectures from several international defence and prosecution counsel.
During lunch the participants were also given lectures by Judge Henderson, Judge Prost and Alan Tieger.
The ICCBA is very grateful for all the trainers and judges who gave their time to make this year's advocacy training a success. The ICCBA is also grateful to Penn State Dickinson Law for providing the case materials which were used during the training.
