ICCBA General Assembly and Elections 2018

On Friday 29 June 2018, the ICCBA held its General Assembly for members at the ICC. The General Assembly was opened by Judge Fremr, ICC First Vice President and Peter Lewis, ICC Registrar. These opening remarks were followed by the signing of an affiliation agreement with the Federation of European Bars. After this the General Assembly went into closed session and discussed the activities of each committee for the last year and approved the budget for the next year. The last item on the agenda was the discussion of some constitutional amendments which were approved by the General Assembly. 


The election results were announced on Saturday 29 June 2018, Chief Charles Taku was duly elected as the new President of the ICCBA. The full results are available on the Governance page


The General Assembly was closed by Fatou Bensouda, ICC Chief Prosecutor.
